Western NC Crisis Relief

In light of the current devastation left from Hurricane Helene in the mountains of North Carolina, Battleground Community Church and Walnut Grove Church are partnering to bring relief to the Western part of our state. We are asking for your help in this time of tremendous need. We are collecting items that we will be delivering to a local church, in Newland, that is functioning as a base camp for the surrounding area. We are asking you to please help us purchase the items that are listed below and drop them off at either Battleground Community Church or Walnut Grove Church so we can continue to deliver these items on a regular basis.

Please note that if you are unable to go out and purchase these items, but would still like to donate to the purchasing of these items, you can donate any money that you feel led to do, and we can purchase the items in bulk. Also, our hope is for these relief efforts to be an ongoing ministry for the foreseeable future. We ask that you continue to purchase these items and drop them off at BCC or WG so that we can continue to deliver to our base camp location. Heavy-duty drop cords (10-12 gauge, 25-100’) 
Mops, Brooms, and dustpans 
Laundry Detergent 
Gas Cards (Exxon or Marathon stations) 
Propane 
Propane heater for indoors (indoor use is important!) 
Electric heaters 
Dehumidifiers 
Damprid (Great need) 
Paper plates 
Aluminum foil 
Ziplock bags (Quart and gallon) 
Small Butane cooking stoves (Tabletop single or double burner) 
Two-door stand-up industrial freezer 

Clothes Closet - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Hours: Thursday-Saturday - 10:00am-5:00pm 
Volunteers: Two minimum per shift (4 Volunteers is ideal)
